The latest and greatest from Campbell Kneale’s Black Boned Angel alter-ego. Another one-hour metallic drone epic that picks up where the critically unclaimed Supereclipse fiasco left off. Less suffocating than its unbearably caustic predecessor, Bliss & Void Inseparable sees Kneale creating a funereal dirge that merges the ferocious power of Black Boned Angel with the blissful dronespace of his main project Birchville Cat Motel. This makes for a journey that is both meditative and monumentally metallic satiating those into the more spacious forays of CORRUPTED, the Sub-Pop era recordings of EARTH or GODHEADSILO and the existential eccentricities of Z’EV or TRIBES OF NEUROT. The subterranean depths of Aotearoa have unleashed a tsunami of EARTH-shattering wall-of-drone guitar destruction excavated from petrified remains of a BLACK BONED ANGEL. At the onset of a TOTAL Supereclipse of the SUNN, layers of distortion-addled amp-damage invoke black spirits of like-minded mystics in SKULLFLOWER and CORRUPTED. Not for the meek of bowel or deficient of attention, Supereclipse is a one hour journey to the center of the riff; akin to tectonic plates moving in slo-mo along the crust of earth; the audio equivalent of glaciers being birthed or Tibetan monks seeped in black tar; an epic poem on the birth of the SABBATH; a suite in three (bowel) movements.

NADJA BLACK BONED ANGEL - CHRIST SEND LIGHT CD

The first of a 3 track collaboration between Nadja and Black Boned Angel. The other two tracks will be released as a full length LP/CD on 20 Buck Spin later in 2008. Christ Send Light differs from the tracks for the LP enough to act as a separate release. This extended track is the most "rock" track of the collaboration and the only one to include vocals. Sounding very much in the Jesu vein on this track, the track plods along drenched in christ's light and soaked in sludgey murk. Limited edition release.

If once every thousand years a monk licks a mountain... I guess EVENTUALLY it will become a pebble. Although I'd prefer to drink my own spew rather than wait around for this to actually happen, the idea seems rather more attractive than being locked in an enclosed space with a candle-snuffer like 'Eternal Hunger'. "Any band whose shows turn to custard after their morbidly-obese bottom-end blasts their own power plugs out of the wall, should be be strictly avoided" seems like a sensible proverb that all good people who refuse to eat small children should attempt to live by. A sickening seismic rupture of unplumbed magnitude as the angels roll up the four corners of the earth at a top speed of 2kph. The floors are swept, the lights are turned out, and God goes home. I'll stick with my bargain-bin Bolt Thrower cassettes... chow down little monk!

This was a limited-edition tour only CD-R made for BBA's European tour and Instal festival appearence during 2005. Comes in the usual Battlecruiser style handmade packaging. One monolithic track coming to an hour in length! The beginning sounds like a riff from Sleep's Jerusalem slowed to a snail's pace and stretched into infinity. 15 minutes in comes those textbook BBA storm detonations that make the whole thing heavy as fuck to the point of speaker damage. Incredible!
