Olympia’s Christian Mistress will release their debut LP “Agony & Opium” on 20 Buck Spin on August 24th of this year. The band plays American heavy metal in a classic metal style. Dual guitar leads, driving rhythms, unique female vocals and memorable songcraft make up the Christian Mistress brew. As Fenriz put it: “They play heavy metal the old way, the exact way we enjoy it ourselves.”
Today a track from “Agony & Opium” called “Home In The Sun” was posted online via the Stereogum website. More info as well as tour dates will be forthcoming in the next weeks and months.
In 2009 Christian Mistress released their debut two-track EP “Mother Of Mercy”. That EP can be ordered in our online store now. The title track from the EP, was also posted on the NPR website last week as part of a special section they concocted for classic heavy metal workout songs?!
